ChallengeHeadquartered in downtown Santa Barbara, CA the Towbes Group needed an enterprise wide phone system and wide area network spanning their 17 locations in the Tri-County area. They also struggled with the headaches of dealing with multiple voice and Internet vendors between all locations and strived to simplify invoices and troubleshooting. SolutionImpulse provisioned Bonded T1s into a managed Adtran router and PoE switch to The Towbes Group's headquarters with Polycom VoIP phones running off of our ClearStar hosted phone system. At any time either T1 can fail and voice and data will continue to operate over the single T1. Impulse then installed DSL connections to all 17 offices and set up a managed VPN back to the headquarters. Each remote location has Polycom phones that are part of the enterprise wide phone system. When calling any location the phone on site rings and if not answered it seamlessly rolls over to the headquarters. Should a power outage happen at any site, the phones will automatically ring in at the main location. The Towbes group can now securely operate at all offices through a centralized business management system at the headquarters, and extension dial between all offices with a fully managed redundant network. This enabled their IT team to focus on their attention on other technology initiatives and provided the added benefit of a single monthly invoice from Impulse.
