| Start Netscape Messenger by clicking the Mailbox icon.
Alternatively, go to Start | Programs | Netscape Communicator | Netscape Messenger. |

| Click the New Message button. | |

| Type your email address in the To: field.
Click in the Subject: field and type a subject. Click in the body of the message and type Testing. Then click the Send button. |

| Check your Sent mailbox to verify the message was sent. | |
 |
| Wait several seconds and click the Get Msg button. | |
 |
| Enter your login password | |
 |
| Check your Inbox to read your email message. | |
