Windows 2000 ADSL Configuration

Enter your LAN configuration setup by clicking. . .
Start | Settings |

Right click on "Local Area Connection" then select properties.

Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" then click properties
(Note: We recommend removing the check from file and
print sharing as a security measure).

Enter the ADSL settings you receive from our ADSL coordinator.
No field should be empty. Click on Advanced when done.

The following screens are provided for reference only.
We do not recommend changing these settings from their default values.

The values here should reflect your IP address and default gateway.

These values should refelect your DNS server entries.
Make sure your check boxes agree with the ones shown.
Also make sure impulse.net is listed as the DNS suffix.

There should be no WINS address entries.
The check boxes here do not affect your connection to us.

The following two options can negatively impact your connectivity.
Examine each one by selecting it then click properties.

We do not support IPSEC. Make sure it is not selected.

IP filtering can also cut you off from the Internet.
Use these settings only if you are knowledgable of TCP/IP.

When you click OK to exit the advanced settings you may get this message.
This is OK. Click YES to continue.

Click OK again, then close the Network and Dial-up Connections window.
