What is FailSafe Connectivity?

In this day and age the Internet has become a necessity for a companies survival. Imagine a more reliable business Internet connection that just works. FailSafe makes this possible by providing two high-speed Internet connections to create one worry-free connection. Both your Internet access and voice services can be routed over your FailSafe connection, providing rock solid communications for your business.

Do you need FailSafe?

Does your company rely on Internet connectivity? If you answered "yes", then you know how much of a risk it could be having your Internet fail. With FailSafe, there is no more waiting for your connection to get back online, no more missed deadlines, no more outages, no more email delays and no more business lost. Instead, you will experience high-speed Internet connectivity with zero downtime.

Purchase reliability

With FailSafe you are purchasing reliability. Many companies who are looking for a more reliable Internet connection switch to T1s or fiber option. In reality, all that these companies are actually paying for is reliability, but unfortunately even T1s and fiber connections fail and without a back-up, even these companies are out of luck. With FailSafe, we discover the problem first and automatically roll your connection over to a secondary line without you ever knowing there was a problem. Think of it as internet insurance.

How FailSafe works

Impulse installs two redundant Internet circuits to your premises. We route each circuit to a different local Internet point of presence. We then route the SAME public IP address over both Internet circuits (this is our secret sauce“ something that can only be done at the ISP level). We then terminate both circuits into an Impulse managed router providing you with an Ethernet connection. Policy routing is set up in the router to dictate which circuit should be used for which type of traffic. If at any time either circuit fails the router tells the traffic to automatically flow over the other circuit. All of this happens instantly with no change to your public IP address, which means your servers and remote users have no idea anything has changed. It is all configured and managed by Impulse which means it all "just works".
