ClearStar Toolbar Installation Instructions
 

  1. Go to http://info.onvoip.net
  2. Choose 'Microsoft Outlook & Internet Explorer Toolbar'
  3. Choose 'Download the Toolbar application (End User)'
  4. Choose default options in the 'miPA Lite Installation Wizard'
  5. Make sure Internet Explorer and Outlook are both closed
  6. Once installation is completed, open Outlook or Internet Explorer and click on the 'power' button to login into the toolbar account
  7. In the login screen use the following information to setup the account
    Username: user's full 10-digit phone number
     
    Password: user's portal password
     
    Host Address: nljtoolbar.onvoip.net
     
    Host Port: 2208

 


 
 

Softphone Download and Installation Instructions
 

  1. Before you begin with these instructions, please make sure you have requested and been granted a softphone account configuration on our server.
  2. Go to www.xten.com
  3. Choose 'Download X-Lite FREE'
  4. Follow the default installation instructions
  5. Once installed, open the X-Lite; menu will ask you for SIP Account Settings; Choose 'Add...'
  6. In the 'Properties of Account' window enter the following information as shown below (example - user: Joe Smith with phone number: 805-123-4567 and extension: 5432):
    • Display Name: Joe Smith
    • User name: 'user internal extension'-xten; ie. 5432-xten
    • Password: as provided by Impulse
    • Authorization user name: 'full phone number' ie. 8-51234567
    • Domain: nljnat.onvoip.net
  7. Click 'OK'
  8. ONLY IF you are in an environment using a static IP address, you will need to follow this step:
     
    Click on the Topology tab in the 'Properties window' and choose the radio button for "Use local IP address" as shown below:
  9. Begin using your Xten Softphone with you ClearStar account!

 


 
 

ClearStar Toolbar Host Address Setting Change Instructions
 

Open Outlook or Internet Explorer and click on the green 'on' button to disconnect the toolbar account (the button should go from green to dark gray)

Click on the Options button.

Then click on the "Connection" line and then change the "Host Address" field to:

nljtoolbar.onvoip.net
 
Click the "Apply" button and then the "OK" button and the change is complete.

ClearStar Softphone Domain Address Setting Change

If you have a Softphone configured for you ClearStar account you need to change the "Domain" address setting as follows:

Phones configured with:
 
    cps.onvoip.net should be changed to nljcps.onvoip.net

Phones configured with:
 
    cpsnat.onvoip.net should be changed to nljnat.onvoip.net

If you are using the X-Lite Softphone, here are specific directions:

  1. Right-click on the phone display, or click on the down arrow at the top of the phone display to show the menu
  2. Select "SIP Account Settings..." from the pop-up menu
  3. Select "Properties..." for the SIP account
  4. Domain should be set to either nljnat.onvoip.net or nljcps.onvoip.net (see above)
