Depression?

Depression is a biological condition that’s just as real as high blood pressure and diabetes.

Natural brain chemicals are responsible for our emotions and mood. Depression occurs when these chemicals aren’t balanced properly.

Medication works to correct this chemical imbalance.

How can depression impact my life?

Depression is a real medical condition that affects:

Your body, your mood, and your thoughts.

The way you eat, the way you think, how you sleep, how you do your work, and how you care for others.

Depression not only affects you, but often affects your friends and family, too. The people who are the closest to someone who’s depressed may also be affected.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

The first step in learning how to manage your anxiety is understanding your condition and how it affects you.

There are several types of anxiety disorders, each with a slightly different set of symptoms. What they share is anxiety so severe that it can disrupt your life.

Long-lasting, daily anxiety and physical symptoms. Sever worry on a daily basis for 6 months or more.

Panic Disorder

Unexpected episodes of intenseness, irrational fear and dread, along with physical symptoms called panic attacks. Some people experience a sense of unreality, a fear of losing control, and a fear of dying.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Disturbing thoughts leading to uncontrollable rituals and behavior. It has tow main symptoms, obsessions and compulsions.

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder:

Vivid repeated memories of an upsetting event.

Additional experience in Emergency Room Treatment, Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Forensic Psychiatry.
