Version 3.7d, Last updated 05 January 2001

Available here, for downloading, is my alternative to the SORT.EXE programs included with MS-DOS, OS/2, and Windoze 95/98/ME/NT/2000.

This program is much faster, and much more powerful than the SORT.EXE programs included with these operating systems.  While the SORT.EXE programs included with MS-DOS and OS/2 are limited to sorting less than 64K of data, all versions of my Sort program have much greater capacities.  The 16-bit version (for 80286 or lower processors) is limited only by the 640K limitation, while all my other versions are limited only by available memory.  My Sort program is also loaded with amazing features.

Documentation is built right in.  Type “sort +h” to get the program to output its short help, or “sort +m” to output the full manual.

These are fully-functional copies of this program in its various flavors — no crippled features, nag screens, or other kwanzaa to slow you down.  I do ask that if you find this program useful, that you pay a $5 shareware fee, which entitles you to use this and all future versions of this program, in all of its supported platforms.  For details, type “sort +i” after you have installed this program.
